Zach Wilson already showing Aaron Rodgers’ impact with identical pass for New York Jets

Zach Wilson followed up his impressive performance from the Hall of Fame game with another strong showing against the Carolina Panthers with the Aaron Rodgers’ presence clearly having a good effect

New York Jets backup quarterback Zach Wilson continues to show big improvements after Aaron Rodgers joined the team.

Wilson had another impressive performance on Saturday evening, following that up from a solid first outing in the Hall of Fame game last week. The former second-overall draft pick has struggled mightily in his first two seasons in the league, prompting the Jets to make a big swing at the position and trading for the legendary Rodgers.

Throughout the off-season, it has been made clear that the two quarterbacks have been working closely together, with Rodgers having kind words for the man who is likely to replace him in the future. And in the win over the Panthers, Wilson performed in a way like Rodgers has throughout his career – being in good command of the offense and taking care of the football by throwing no interceptions and one touchdown.

On that touchdown, Wilson made a play that was eerily identical to Rodgers – a play that he has made throughout his career with the Green Bay Packers. The quarterback took the snap, faking the run before rolling out and throwing off one foot to complete the pass for the score.
