Zac Goldsmith ‘runs’ from 11-year-old climate activist

Zac Goldsmith has been accused of running away from an 11-year-old climate activist at COP27 who asked him when the government will release jailed climate protesters. Licypriya Kangujam confronted the environment minister at the summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, but was less than happy with his response. As the video shows, she tracked down Lord Goldsmith and asked him: ‘When are you going to release the climate activists your government arrested for protesting against new oil and gas licences?’When he started to walk away Licypriya followed him.Licypriya said: ‘Instead of answering my questions, he ran away. But I followed him for a couple of minutes and asked him repeatedly when will [they] be released? What day? What time? Etc.’She claims a civil servant pushed her away twice and intervened to stop the discussion and even closed the door to stop her.
