YouTuber iShowSpeed claims Cristiano Ronaldo taunt got Lionel Messi’s attention

Internet sensation iShowSpeed has made no secret of his adoration for Cristiano Ronaldo but seemed to have been swept along with the emotion as Lionel Messi’s debut ended in a fairytale manner

Lionel Messi’s magical Inter Miami debut saw him announce his arrival on US soil in style and even one ardent Cristiano Ronaldo follower was left in awe.

In the Argentine’s typical style, he proved to be the difference-maker after being introduced into the action as a substitute by head coach Tata Martino in the 54th minute. With the match seemingly heading for a 1-1 draw, the World Cup winner stepped up to the plate to notch a stoppage-time winner to see the Herons edge the clash versus Cruz Azul.

The free-kick sent Vice City’s supporters delirious jubilation, as the struggling team picked up their first win in 11 attempts. One spectator who did seem a little skeptical of the 36-year-old’s abilities during proceedings was self-confessed Ronaldo superfan iShowSpeed, who attended the match at DRV PNK Stadium wearing a Portugal shirt bearing his idol’s name.

The YouTuber was even filmed taunting the former Barcelona hero by shouting from the stands, professing that “Ronaldo is best”, before the superstar appeared to turn in his direction. The 18-year-old – whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr. – was one of many well-known faces who attended the historic match, with superstars LeBron James, Serena Williams and Kim Kardashian also in attendance.
