Lucia Drabik was a partisan in the Italian resistance, using the codename Anny, during World War Two.

She lived in a small town in northern Italy, where she often helped British soldiers.

After the war, the now 97-year-old moved to Coventry, to take up a job with the textile company Courtaulds.

We Were There aims to collect as many first-hand accounts as possible by 2025, the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two, to preserve veterans’ accounts for future generations.
