Yellowstone finally returned to screens on Sunday with its eagerly awaited fifth season. As the double-episode premiere arrived with a major flashback into Beth Dutton’s (played by Kelly Reilly) life, the actress detailed the real reason for the insight. The first episode picked up with a major flash forward and opened up with John Dutton (Kevin Costner) being sworn in as the Governor of Montana. Season four came to a satisfying end for Beth and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they took their long-term relationship to the next step and tied the knot. During the premiere, viewers also got to see a glimpse of the early days of their relationship with a flashback.READ MORE: Prince William and Kate ‘upset’ with Mike Tindall’s I’m A Celeb stint Yellowstone: Kelly Reilly opened up on the flashback (Image: Paramount Network) Yellowstone: Beth and Rip have been together since they were young adults (Image: Paramount Network) Yellowstone: Beth had regrets about their early days together (Image: Paramount Network) Yellowstone: John was sworn in as Governor (Image: Paramount Network)After noticing Rip was put-off, she hit back: ‘I’m not yours to be jealous over,’ as she continued, Rip had enough and decided to head home.
