Yellow warnings for thunderstorms in place after seven-day heatwave

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

London is in meltdown. May we all spare a thought for King Charles’ Guards outside Buckingham Palace, still sporting real bear fur hats.

Temperatures are set to rise above 30°C across southern England again today, for the seventh day in a row, after Saturday was named the hottest day of the year so far.

For many, this may be the final chance to enjoy the summer sunshine as the Met Office say that thunderstorms are on the cards.

Amid the heatwave, a yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Northern Ireland, northern parts of England and Wales from 2pm until 11.59pm today.
