Kross, Shotzi, Stroman, and WWE's head of long-term creative plans, Rob Fee, worked closely with Wyatt and were all shown getting new ink. Wyatt introduced Strowman's character during a live episode of Monday Night Raw on Aug. 24, 2015. He was unveiled as the "black sheep" of the Wyatt family, a faction already comprised of Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and the late Luke Harper, whose real name was Broadie Lee. Lee passed away in Dec. 2020, just ten days after his 41st birthday, from a condition that causes lung issues to thicken until they can no longer function. Other WWE Superstars, including World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins, Alexa Bliss, and AEW's Miro, all paid tribute to Rotunda personally after being unable to appear on his tribute show. His impact on the wrestling world goes beyond WWE. Buddy Matthews paid tribute to Wyatt by carrying the firefly lantern during AEW's "All In" PPV.
