Wrexham’s massive £568 Nando’s order revealed by disgruntled employee

The Red Dragons had cause for celebration after they defeated their derby rivals Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park and the staff and players seemingly wanted to mark the occasion with some food

Wrexham’s players seemingly celebrated their landmark derby win over rivals Tranmere Rovers in style as they racked up a hefty bill at Nando’s – leaving one employee rather unhappy.

The Red Dragons had experienced a mixed start to the League Two campaign but they may have kick-started their season at last with a crucial victory at Prenton Park. Phil Parkinson’s men had put in the hard yards to edge a fraught meeting against their old cross-border rivals as they came away with a 1-0 victory.

The North Wales side’s players seemingly had worked up something of an appetite following the encounter on Merseyside, with a £568.20 order going through the tills at the popular chain restaurant. In a video posted on Twitter, the mammoth order was shown to have purportedly been made for the team’s bus.

It is not known which Nando’s restaurant the National League champions had ordered from but the nearest to Tranmere’s home ground is the outlet in Bromborough. Just over four miles from Prenton Park, the restaurant would have been on Wrexham’s route home as they made the trip from the Wirral back to Wales.
