Thankfully, Mullin walked off the field with the oxygen mask still attached before being replaced by Billy Waters. However, he was still taken straight to a local hospital for further checks. Bishop was then booed by the fans whenever he touched the ball at Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, with Wrexham enjoying their new following from the United States. He was replaced at half-time by Radek Vitek among wholesale changes made by both teams. 'It's reckless, its dangerous, doesn't get anywhere near the ball,' co-commentator Stewart Robson said on ESPN when reviewing the awful challenge. "Once he gets outside his ball he can't go with his hands so he's actually just flying towards the ball with his body. Real problems for the Wrexham centre-forward." Mullin headed straight down the tunnel, but Wrexham will be hoping that his injury isn't serious after he's examined by doctors. Mullin scored 38 goals in 46 National League games last season, and scored a brace in their 3-1 win over Boreham Wood which sealed promotion.
