Woman wrote chilling Facebook post before she was attacked by own ‘loyal’ dogs

Nikita Piil, 31, suffered major blood loss and serious bite wounds to her limbs when her two pet Rottweilers lashed out on Saturday, causing her to almost lose her leg

An Australian woman who was savagely attacked by her two pet Rottweilers wrote a chilling social media post a few years before the incident.

Nikita Piil, 31, suffered major blood loss and serious bite wounds to her limbs when her dogs Bronx and Harlem lashed out on Saturday. The Perth woman had previously described one of the dogs as “loyal” and “protective” and often called the hounds her “babies.” She is currently in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Perth Hospital as doctors attempt to save her arm from amputation.

The attack would have likely been a horrifying shock for the owner as she wrote about Bronx in 2017: “I couldn’t ask for a more incredible, cheeky, loyal, intelligent and protective little mate. You’re my whole world.” The anonymous breeder who sold Harlem as a puppy to Nikita said she was devastated by the news but believed the dogs were well cared for.

She told the West Australian: “I think that in this instance, there must have been a dog fight between the two dogs and I feel that maybe the owner has got involved to try and separate the dogs and somehow gotten in between it … That’s how I possibly think it’s happened.”
