Woman who died after dog attack had Labrador as guest of honour at her wedding

A woman who collapsed and died three weeks after being savaged by two Rottweilers had her own Labrador as guest of honour at her wedding.

Marie Stevens, who loved dogs, wed her husband Mark with her chocolate Lab by their side, Facebook pictures show.

Several friends and colleagues paid tribute to the ‘bubbly and happy’ 40-year-old care home worker, who was was found dead at home in Brighton-le-Sands in Merseyside on Sunday.

Ms Stevens was bitten several times on her arms and legs by two Rottweilers in Park Lane West, Netherton, in Dudley on August 18, allegedly when she tried to stroke the dogs, who were on a lead.
