Woman transforms confidence with hair transplant after 25 years of ‘hating’ her forehead

A woman spent almost £6,000 on a hair transplant, but has shared that it’s been worth every penny as she finally feels confident, saying the procedure was life-changing

We all try not to get bogged down by physical appearance as it’s what inside that counts – but there’s no denying that feeling confident on the outside helps us feel good inside. Our hair plays a big part in this, as a bad hair cut can make us feel awful, and thinning locks can be a cause for concern.

One young woman has opened up about her confidence journey after suffering terribly from low self-esteem due to her naturally high hairline. Tiegan Handsley, 25, felt uncomfortable with her larger forehead all her life and had tried various hairstyles to try and hide it, but she wasn’t happy with the results – so she decided to spend a whopping £5,300 for a hair transplant. She says the procedure changed her life.

Tiegan, from Doncaster, has gone viral after sharing the results a year on, as her video has been watched by almost 10 million people. In the clip she can be seen in a series of photos, showing off the growth of her new hair. She said: “The impact it’s had on my life in the last year is just out of this world – it sometimes leaves me speechless. I naturally had a high hairline, especially at the corners, and I was so insecure about it so I had a fringe for all my life.

“I felt so self-conscious. I used to think everyone was looking at me and judging me as mine wasn’t a normal hairstyle – it was like that to hide my forehead. It stopped me from going swimming, going down slides on holiday, which I absolutely love, and I just never wanted to get my hair wet.
