A woman was seriously injured while walking along a road after she was hit by pallets of bricks falling off a lorry.
The 23-year-old pedestrian was rushed to hospital after she was hit by the masonry while walking in Lyndhurst in Hampshire New Forest yesterday.
Police are now investigating how the bricks became ‘dislodged’.
The horrific incident – which was attended by an air ambulance helicopter – took place on the A35 with emergency services called out at 12pm.
Pictures show a pile of bricks that look like paving slabs in an area of the street which had to be cordoned off by police.
