Charmaine Orange sent various substances to inmate Dean Wright by concealing them in jigsaw and matchstick puzzles and mixing them with paint after the rules on loved ones posting items to prisoners were relaxed during Covid.
Newcastle Crown Court heard around £17,000 also passed through her bank accounts after she turned a blind eye to then-boyfriend Wright using her details to receive payments from his dealing empire inside HMP Northumberland.
However, after a judge was told mum-of-two Orange was in a controlling relationship with Wright, he spared her an immediate spell behind bars.
