A university student has been found dead in her apartment a day after her 20th birthday.
Thalia Chaverria, a football player at New Mexico State University, tragically passed away shortly after her 20th birthday. She was found unresponsive in her home and pronounced dead by emergency responders on July 10.
Thalia was set to begin her junior year at the university and had been playing as a defender for the Aggies women’s football team. The cause of her death is currently under investigation, but authorities do not suspect foul play.
Emergency services rushed to her apartment responding to a call, however, the Las Cruces Police Department said they have no reason to believe Thalia’s death is suspicious or the result of criminal activity.
