Erin Patterson, 48, whose ex-husband’s parents mysteriously died along with one other person shortly after having lunch at her home, has claimed she bought the mushrooms at a local shop
A woman suspected of killing her ex-husband’s parents with a deadly meal has claimed she bought the mushrooms at a nearby shop.
Erin, the former daughter-in-law of Don and Gail Patterson, had made lunch at her home in Leongatha, Australia, for the couple and two other people on July 29 when all four became critically ill shortly afterwards.
Don and Gail died in hospital after eating the food. Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson also passed away, while her husband Ian remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Police have since executed a search warrant at 48-year-old Erin Patterson’s home, after which she was interviewed and was released pending further inquiries, reports 7 News.
