In a wince-inducing video, the doctor is seen slowly pulling the flying insect out of Iris Novau DÃaz’s ear as she screams in horror after suffering bleeding
A young woman who went to hospital with bleeding ears was shocked to discover a moth was living in her orifice.
Iris Novau DÃaz went to her local hospital after she was concerned about unusual bleeding from her ears. After a quick examination from a doctor, he swiftly removed the flying insect with a pair of tweezers. Iris said: “When a bug decides to live in your ear. My ear was bleeding and they could only see the monster’s little legs. I’m at the point of crying because I suddenly realised what a disgrace I am.”
In a wince-inducing video of the doctor removing it, she screams as the medic slowly pulls the insect out of her ear, before the offending insect is held up to the camera. Iris, from Catalonia, Spain, joked: “The producers of my life always have one more floor for the basement of my failure.” One fan wrote: “Wow my God, that’s why I panic so much when I see them.” Another said: “Oh God, another fear unlocked.” While a user called Rocio said: “If this happened to me, I would stay in a coma for life.”
Earlier this year, shocking footage from an American A&E department showed a man also having a giant moth pulled out of his ear. The large critter became lodged in there while he was working in his garage. The incident was featured on an episode of This Came Out Of Me, a Discovery Channel reality series profiling unusual and extreme medical emergencies treated by doctors.
