Woman forced to swap plane seats with baby while sobbing over dad’s death

Nama Winston cut her holiday short after receiving some devastating news about a family member, and the ordeal was made even worse by ‘selfish’ passengers who ‘kicked her out’ of her seat

A grieving woman was left fuming after a couple ‘kicked her out’ of the plane seats she paid for, so they could enjoy more room to ‘spread out’ with their baby. Nama Winston, from Australia, had to cut her holiday short after getting the devastating news that her father had been in a fatal car accident.

She flew home immediately with her young son, but her grief was made even more difficult by the parents who forced her to move seats, as she branded them the ‘most selfish people I’ve ever encountered’. Speaking to Kidspot, the mum explained: “My five-year-old and I were holidaying on the Gold Coast and had planned a big day of celebrating.

“But my sister called with the worst news: overnight, our dad had been a passenger in a car crash with another vehicle at a major Adelaide intersection. He had died at the scene.”

The woman went onto say that she and her five-year-old rushed to the airport and got whichever seats they could get to get themselves back home as soon as possible.
