A woman has been accused of spiking a man’s drink with cockroach spray after they met at a bar..

Veronica Cline, 29, has been charged with poisoning food or drink after police were called to a property on Wheeler Street in DeLeon Springs, Florida, in the early hours of Friday morning where they spoke to a man who had fallen ill.

Deputies for the Volusia County police say Cline had been out at a local bar drinking with the man before she asked him to come home with her and continue drinking. The man then reportedly became sick after two drinks at around 4:30 am, with Cline allegedly using roach spray to spike his drink, deputies claimed.

Cline allegedly revealed to the man that she had added Raid pest elimination spray to both drinks. A statement from the sheriff’s office said: “The victim told deputies he was vomiting for about 30 minutes before he was able to call for help. He became sick again while providing his statement to a deputy.”
