Woking murder: Everything we know as international manhunt launched after girl, 10, dies

Police say they are now working with international authorities to help them track down three people they want to speak to in connection with the death of a 10-year-old girl at a house in Woking

An international manhunt is underway after a 10-year-old girl was found dead in a house in Surrey.

A cordon remained in place around a semi-detached property in Woking, Surrey, yesterday, where police have carried out door-to-door enquiries as part of their investigation. Neighbours said a family with six “very young” children moved into the house in April. A post-mortem is scheduled to take place next Tuesday.

Surrey Police have identified three people they would like to speak to in connection with the incident – but it has since emerged that the trio are believed have left the country on Wednesday. The force are now working with international authorities to track them down.

There was a heavy police presence at the semi-detached property on Hammond Road on Friday as people laid flowers on the pavement. Several people who stopped to pay their respects became tearful, while one elderly man doffed his hat as he walked by.
