Her family has delivered a statement remembering the “cheeky” girl as police continue to investigate the incident.  In a statement released on behalf of the Metropolitan Police, the family said: “Selena was an intelligent and cheeky girl adored and loved by everyone. “The family wishes their privacy to be respected at this sad time’. The eight-year-old’s identity was partially revealed earlier today, when people placing notes and flowers at the site of the crash paid tribute to “Selena”.  One card left by a woman at the scene called Selena “our shining star”, and added:” We will miss you so much.’ Another tribute addressed to the school and parents said they were “so sorry for this tragic loss to the school and the family”. The Metropolitan Police had earlier released a statement in which they revealed Selena was one of dozens of people who were taken to hospital following the crash.  We’ll be bringing you the very latest updates, pictures and video on this breaking news story.
