With three minutes of the opening game of the Bundesliga season gone, a Werder Bremen attack broke down, Kim Min-jae headed the ball clear and suddenly the Bayern Munich counterattack was on. Leroy Sane received a pass from Jamal Musiala, and up ahead, Harry Kane, standing just inside his own half, peeled away from Milos Veljkovic, his former Tottenham Hotspur colleague. Kane already had the picture of his next action in his head, and when Sane passed him the ball, with one touch he steered the ball round the corner and let Sane’s speed do the rest.
