What’s new in food and drink in Scotland

As the nights draw in, Table Scraps is unashamedly all about the booze this week. First up, the Scottish National Whisky Festival is heading to Aberdeen Music Hall today as part of its 2023/24 schedule, which kicked off in Inverness this year. The event pairs tastings with live music and entertainment. Guest spirits include rum and cognac. Whisky from each isle will be exhibited, so you can enjoy a dram from the Glasgow Distillery alongside a Jura, Arran or Bruichladdich malt. For the more adventurous palate Cairns Whisky Liqueur and Highland Nectar Liqueur are listed among the experimental exhibitors, and there will be food from Chocolate Tree.
