Manchester United are set to kickstart their pre-season adventure as they prepare to face arch rivals Leeds with Mason Mount expected to make his Red Devils bow
Mason Mount is set to make his first appearance in a Manchester United shirt when they face Leeds in a friendly on Wednesday.
The Red Devils will kickstart their pre-season campaign with a game against recently-relegated Leeds in Oslo as Erik ten Hag gets to see his side in action for the first time in six weeks. The last time United took to the field was in the FA Cup as they were beaten 2-1 by treble-winners Manchester City.
Ten Hag gave his non-international stars five weeks’ off before they returned for pre-season last Thursday, whilst those that represented their nations are filtering back into training. Lisandro Martinez, Antony, Dean Henderson and Donny van de Beek were amongst the first back, with new signing Mount joining them late last week.
United confirmed the £60million arrival of Mount from Chelsea on July 5 as the England international became their first summer addition. Now, the 24-year-old could be in line to play his first minutes for the Red Devils as they entertain Daniel Farke’s Leeds.
