The two time Wimbledon champion has been wearing the range throughout the tournament
Tennis fever is once again gripping the nation with Andy Murray locked into an intense battle with Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round of Wimbledon.
With the fiery encounter going on until past 10.30pm last night, a decision was made to halt the game and carry it on this afternoon. However during the game, and the tournament so far, fans will have noticed Murray’s interesting and unique choice of attire. While many other big name players stick with instantly recognisable brands, Murray’s on court, and off court, clothing is branded with ‘AMC’. The range is by sportswear retailer, Castore, who now make football kits for Newcastle United and Rangers as well as produce the England Cricket Team’s clothing.
The fast growing brand launched the Murray collection in November 2019 and the Castore website now features its own dedicated AMC clothing section. The retailer says: “Fusing the respective brand ethos of Castore and Andy Murray, AMC delivers a new standard of tennis performance clothing. Built with a high-stretch, lightweight, and quick-drying fabric and specialist ergonomic panels to ensure that you never miss a serve.
The men’s collection features a wide array of outfits for the court, and for general lifestyle, such as polos, t-shirts and shorts, while joggers, zip tops and hoodies all featuring the AMC logo are also on sale. The women’s collection contains such items as tennis dresses, skorts and leggings which also come with the AMC branding.
