What Britain’s Conservatives can learn from the US Midterms

The Right in Florida have energy, momentum and a proven track record of success in power. But the Left are benefitting from a “youthquake”

Whilst the Republicans are justifiably disappointed in their less-than-strong showing in these midterm elections, there is hope to be found.

It is likely they will take back the House of Representatives and whilst the Senate remains uncertain, there is a foreseeable path to power for conservatives ahead of the 2024 Presidential election. 

Just look to Florida, where Governor Ron DeSantis smashed his opponent, going beyond all electoral expectations. 

In a state that opted for Barack Obama just ten years ago, the Republicans have flipped Democratic strongholds to turn Florida solidly red.
