Westminster dog chaos as noisy cockapoo banished and second pooch digs hole on TV

Tory MP Richard Bacon revealed that his cockapoo Beaufort was banished from Parliament after barking loudly when his politician owner was off getting some breakfast

Rogues are ruining Parliament… and there are also some naughty dogs running about in it.

A cockapoo is banned for disturbing chambers, one dug a hole while another mischievous mutt got into a catfight at Downing Street. Tory MP Richard Bacon’s bad boy Beaufort was too vocal for some, although he has sniffed out a way to sneak back in

He said: “I had a stiff letter from the Serjeant at Arms. My office is quite close to the chamber, and I went off to get some scrambled eggs and he decided to have a bit of a bark. I had to downgrade his visits. Fortunately there are many entrances to these palaces so you can get him in the back ones.”

Another of the Commons’ canine community in the doghouse is William Wragg’s spaniel Dolly who started digging a hole in the Victoria Tower gardens during an ITV interview. And Suzanne Webb’s spaniel Sydney Pickles got into a scrap with Larry the Downing Street cat.
