West Ham ‘reach agreement for £32m Rice replacement’ in FIRST summer transfer

WEST HAM have reached an agreement to sign Edson Alvarez from Ajax for £32million.

The Mexican international is set to replace Declan Rice and become their first signing of the summer.

David Moyes has so far been unable to make any additions to his squad as the Hammers struggle in the transfer market.

He has reportedly clashed with new technical director Tim Steidten over targets, with the club even posting an advert for new players.

However, The Athletic now report that West Ham have reached a verbal agreement with Ajax for the signing of Alvarez.
