First, the couple taped a bin bag around the radiator so they could spray paint it without getting any splatter marks on the white wall around it. Then they coated the front and sides of the radiator in the paint, making sure it was all even. Once they were dry the matte paint looked so trendy and expensive, even though it only cost them £10. Georgia captioned the clip: "We transformed our old and tired radiators for under £10! I can't believe the difference!!!! "We looked at replacing these, but this was going to be £1k plus which was not happening. "So we decided to up cycle them ourselves!! We just need to repaint the walls & sort out skirting boards now!" You'd never know it was a quick DIY job either, which left people stunned. One person wrote: "Omg they look amazing!!!!" A second agreed: "Wow, looks fab." Another commented: "This looks so good, well done you." IT’S no secret that renovating your home can be pretty expensive, and that’s exactly why one couple decided to take the DIY route.
Georgia-Leigh and her partner, who live in Manchester, wanted to upgrade their radiators, but getting knew ones quickly went out of the window when they realised how much it would cost.
The pair said they were quoted over £1k for new radiators, so went for a much cheaper option instead, and they saved £990 in the process.
