RIO FERDINAND has revealed that Wayne Rooney asked “who the f**k is this guy?” when Manchester United signed Nemanja Vidic.
And he was also underwhelmed by Sir Alex Ferguson’s decision to sign Patrice Evra in the same window too.
Serbia icon Vidic joined the Red Devils in January 2006 and went on to become a club icon with 300 appearances under his belt.
Vidic won five Premier League titles and a Champions League after forming a water-tight partnership with Ferdinand in defence.
But his former partner reckons not everyone was convinced by Vidic’s arrival over 17 years ago.
