I used to have a washer AND a dryer and I must say, it’s pretty impressive how much of a difference it is making to my bills already
A new kitchen appliance can feel like such a huge investment to many families, but if it can save you a bit of cash in the long run it’s worth shopping around. When ordering a new washer/dryer, I loved the idea of a combi to save me time and energy loading and unloading from one aplliance to another. Also, there are many other benefits to having just the one appliance- and energy saving is a biggie.
We have just moved home, and I am looking at any way possible I can reduce our bills- and our new Hotpoint Washer/Dryer was the start of an energy saving journey I knew we needed.
After a couple of issues with our own plumbing and the water pressure, we eventually got the washer plugged in, spinning and jobs a goodun! It was doing our first wash.
The average washing machine is 2,100 watts, which is equal to 2.1 kWh, working out at about £1.09 per hour or 17p for 10 minutes.
