Warzone 2 pre-load explained for PlayStation, Xbox, Battle Net and Steam

This is how to pre-load Call of Duty: Warzone 2 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC including Battle Net and Steam.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 pre-loads are live right now on consoles and PC ahead of the game’s launch, saving you valuable hours on launch day.

With Call of Duty: Warzone 2 launching on a weekday – Wednesday, November 16 at 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT to be precise – you’re not going to want to waste your evening waiting for the game to download and install. Happily, as is usually the case with Call of Duty games in recent years, you can pre-load Warzone 2.0 ahead of the official release. So barring any huge day one patches, you’ll be ready to dive in as soon as you’re done at work, school, or other place of adult responsibility.

Pre-loads have already gone live on all platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Battle.net and Steam. You’ll want to make sure you enough storage space to accommodate Warzone 2.0’s file size before you do anything. Each platform has its own storefront, with instructions and file sizes differing between them. So here’s how to pre-load Warzone 2.0 wherever you’ll be playing it.

To pre-load Warzone 2 on PS5 or PS4, simply head over to the PlayStation Store. The link will take you directly to the game’s store page, but if not, just search for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, and then select download. The title wasn’t appearing on storefronts initially, and in some cases, it’s sporting the Modern Warfare 2 icon, which confuses things. If you’re only getting results for Modern Warfare, click through to install, and you’ll see a Warzone 2 add-on.
