MCDONALD’S customers have been warned they could face a £1k fine and six points on their licence for a common drive-thru error.
Motorists stopping at a McDonald’s may opt to use the fast-food chain’s new app to make their drive-thru experience even faster.
The app allows hungry Brits to purchase food on their phones while they wait in the queue.
But this could leave you slapped with £1k fine and six points for breaching the highway code rules.
RAC spokesperson Rod Dennis told the Mirror : “Every driver should always ensure they are parked and have their engine switched off before using a handheld phone – anything else could land them in trouble, even if they are in a car park, drive-thru or petrol forecourt.”
