The supermarket axed the popular free hot drink offer two years ago, but has brought it back as shoppers facing soaring costs turn to cheaper stores
Waitrose is bringing back its free coffee offer in the hope it will help boost falling sales caused by the country’s cost-of-living crisis.
Shoppers with a myWaitrose loyalty card can pick up a free tea or coffee from tomorrow (Monday) two years after the supermarket ditched the perk during the pandemic.
There is no minimum spend required, but customers must bring their own reusuable cups to help the store cut down on unnecessary waste.
The news comes as supermarkets – especially more expensive ones such as Waitrose – deal with falling sales.
