Quantum Impact is selected to atone for a disappointing Royal Ascot run while Isla Kai is one who should appreciate softening conditions at York
TAKE a Quantum leap on the final day of Newmarket’s July Meeting.
QUANTUM IMPACT (2.50) finished last season with a brace of wins and he looked very good when stepped up to 1m for the first time when successful at York in May.
He hit the line very strongly that day, so it was no surprise to see him go off second favourite for the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Sadly, it didn’t go to plan. After moving smoothly into a challenging position in the far-side group, he then went almost diagonally across to the stands’ side losing all momentum.
