Matches start on July 20 and run through August 12, with Playoffs on August 13. Earn a Premier Score of at least 375 by then to qualify and to have a chance to be crowned one of the best teams in your Division, and get a Champion title and gun buddy, too. Valorant’s first patch since the launch of Episode 7 Act 1 is here, and while not much has changed, update 7.01 rolls out the next step in Valorant Premier with a soft launch ahead of the mode going live in August.
Valorant Episode 7 Act 1 is already a big deal; not only did we get the brand new Agent 23: Deadlock but a new game mode with Team Deathmatch. Two weeks on and we’ve got the first Valorant patch for the new Episode in our hands and it’s… not that juicy.
Today’s Valorant patch adds some new voice lines for Gekko and Deadlock, updates ability action icons, and makes some tweaks to how the game deals with toxic players â and that’s about it. Update 7.01 also coincides with the opening of the Valorant Premier Ignition Stage which runs from Thursday, July 20 to August 12, 2023. Premier Ignition is the latest version of the beta which ran through April and May, ahead of the actual launch of Valorant Premier Stage 1 of coming in August.
