Novak Djokovic has the chance to win a 24th Grand Slam title when he takes on Daniil Medvedev in Sunday’s US Open final. The Serbian has the chance to equal Margaret Court’s record of Grand Slam singles victories – but must beat an in-form Medvedev in New York. Djokovic won the first two majors of the season before being beaten by Carlos Alcaraz in the final at Wimbledon . Medvedev was in top form on Friday as he beat top seed Alcaraz in the semi-final 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. The final is a re-match of the 2021 showcase when Medvedev won his only Grand Slam title to date in straight sets, beating Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. With victory, Djokovic would edge two majors clear of injured rival Rafael Nadal who has 22 Grand Slam titles. Djokovic booked his place in the final with a 6-3 6-2 7-6 over American Ben Shelton and then mocked his opponent’s phone celebration . Despite matching Bill Tilden record by reaching his 10th US Open final, the Serbian has won just three of his previous nine appearances. : US Open LIVE: Novak Djokovic ‘arrogant’ as Ben Shelton responds to Serb trolling him Novak Djokovic (left) takes on Daniil Medvedev in a repeat of the 2021 US Open final (Image: Getty) How can I watch the US Open final on TV or live stream online?
