US backlash against Harry erupts as TV hosts ridicule memoir

Prince Harry has lived in California since quitting the Royal Family in 2020. However, the Duke of Sussex appears to be infuriating many in the US, as Fox News dedicated a segment on Friday night to mock the Duke of Sussex’s memoir announcement. Earlier this week, publisher Penguin Random House announced that Harry’s memoir will be published on 10 January. The memoir, titled Spare, will be “raw and unflinching” as Harry covers his decision to give up royal duties and move to the US.The title is a nod to the phrase that monarchies need an “heir and a spare”.The Fox News segment, known as Friday Follies, typically sees popular host Laura Ingraham and guest pundit Raymond Arroyo pick out the most ridiculous stories of the week.Harry ended up in the segment, with Raymond Arroyo claiming Harry was “about to smash the King” with his new memoir.JUST IN: Prince Harry memoir release threatens to overshadow Kate’s big day Prince Harry has lived in California since quitting the Royal Family in 2020 (Image: FOX NEWS) Popular host Laura Ingraham and pundit Raymond Arroyo pick out the week’s most ridiculous stories (Image: FOX NEWS)The conservative pundit said: “Spare is an allegedly unsparing account of the Duke of Sussex’s truth, his truth.””You have a spare key, a spare tyre.”I understand the heir and the spare.
