Watch out, Hogwarts enthusiasts, Graham Linehan’s gunning for your idols. In his new book, the Father Ted writer has claimed that Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are guilty of “the most remarkable arrogance, cowardice and ingratitude” for turning on their former mentor JK Rowling over her stance on the trans debate. To this I can only say a startled, “Merlin’s beard, he’s got it wrong!” For the fundamental crime of which these three thirtysomethings are guilty, and one that both predates and continues to undermine their collective opinions, is that they simply, positively, cannot act.
