The weather is set to turn for the better on Sunday with bright spells and temperatures of 25C forecast in some areas – just in time to watch the Lionesses bring football home
Brits looking to watch tomorrow’s World Cup Final with a breakfast barbecue or a couple of early beers have been reassured sunny weather is on the way.
Storm Betty brought havoc in some areas of the UK today as heavy downpours and high winds battered the country. Massive 60mph winds were recorded in Wales while Northern Ireland had more rain last night than their average for the entire month.
Betty is the second named storm of August after Antoni raged earlier this month. However, hope is on the horizon and it is good news for millions of fans of the Lionesses.
Instead of hiding inside, people will be able to watch the World Cup Final between England and Spain in beer gardens or outside their own home with an early barbecue, with kick off at 11am.
