Britain will pay £62million to France under the deal (Image: PA)Britain will keep sending millions of pounds to France under its new migration pact – even if the number of crossings continues to rise.This morning Home Secretary Suella Braverman signed a deal that will see a 40 percent increase in the number of officers patrolling beaches and UK Border Patrol officers embedded in French control rooms.The UK has pledged to pay an additional £62million to Emmanuel Macron’s government which will be paid “upon delivery” of the deal.But a spokesman for Prime Minister Rishi Sunak this morning admitted that Britain will continue to cough up the money even if France fails to curb the number of people making the dangerous journey across the Dover Strait.More to follow…
