The school summer holidays are currently upon us, meaning parents everywhere are searching for ways to keep their little ones entertained. 2 Kids can drive Land Rovers around the new custom-built track Credit: BPM One way they could do that is with a visit to Pierrepont Country Park in Nottingham , where the new circuit can be found. The attraction is open to kids aged three to eight, who can behind the wheel of a pocket sized Defenders and drive them through the woodland and over a custom-built mini bridge. Youngsters can drive on their own, or go on a road trip with their friends if they wish. The Land Rovers have already proved a hit with young visitors. Matt Fairley, eight, told the Nottingham Post : "I really liked it. I think it was fun. I liked going off the bridge and bouncing." Wallace Tedstone, eight, added: "They were really good. The best thing was going over the bridge. It was easy to drive. I think everyone will love it. It was a lot of fun." Kids taking part in sessions can enjoy two laps of the extensive dirt track that was put in place ahead of this summer. A 10 minute safety briefing will take place ahead of the session to ensure all kids know how to operate the vehicles properly. Sessions are available on weekends and every day in the school holidays. They will run on the hour and half hour from 10am-4pm. After completing one circuit each child will be handed a Mini Land Rovers loyalty card. This will be marked with one stamp and the date they have completed their first circuit. Anyone who returns on another two occasions, with the loyalty card, will be rewarded with a driving certificate and will qualify for a free session. Normally, a circuit would cost £11 per child.
