UFC star Jared Gordon forced to spend £18,000 on tickets to his own fight

Former Paddy Pimblett rival Gordon will have an homecoming fight at Madison Square Garden this November, but after being gifted just four tickets was forced to fork out a massive fee

UFC star Jared Gordon has been forced to spend almost £20,000 on tickets to his own fight at Madison Square Garden later this year.

The New Yorker will have an homecoming to remember at UFC 295 on the undercard of Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic in the historic venue when he faces Mark Madsen. But even with a fighters’ discount was forced to pay an exorbitant amount for tickets in order to bring family and friends to the show.

Gordon, who comes from Queens, shared his receipt from buying 17 tickets with his fighter discount to Twitter, with the picture garnering almost 1million views in a day. His total came up to $21,869, which amounts to just under £18,000, with five tickets at $2,007, seven at $1,257 and five more at $607.
