USMNT star Tyler Adams was on the verge of signing for Chelsea in a £20 million deal but now that move is in jeopardy that could affect the future of Liverpool target Moises Caicedo
USMNT star Tyler Adams’ proposed move to Chelsea is seemingly on the verge of falling through, despite the Premier League team agreeing to meet the midfielder’s release clause.
Adams was reportedly close to completing a move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window. The Premier League club was said to have activated the £20 million release clause in the player’s contract at Leeds United.
In May, Leeds were relegated from the Premier League to the Championship after three years in the English top division. As a result, some of the team’s star players have been expected to leave the club, with one of them being Adams.
However, according to Sky Sports, Adams’ proposed move to Chelsea is off and will not be happening. It has been claimed that the 24-year-old will return to Elland Road after the deal broke down and will not be leaving Leeds as things stand.
