 Police confirmed in a statement that no arrests have yet been made. A local resident told MyLondon that a car has been crashed within the crime scene. Local resident Sebastian Morrison said: "I came across the scene when I went to the shop so I'm not a direct witness. I spoke to a few locals who did hear and see some of it. "Shots were heard and a policewoman at scene told me it was a shooting. 12 shots were heard by locals, fire exchanged between a pair on a moped and people in a car. The car is crashed at the scene." A Met spokesperson said in a statement: "Police were called at about 19:50hrs on Sunday, 30 October to reports of gunshots heard on Railton Road, SE24. Officers, including firearms officers, are in attendance along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance. "Two men were found injured at the location. Despite the efforts of emergency services, they were both pronounced dead at the scene. The nature of their injuries has not been confirmed at this time. Police have tonight launched a hunt for a gunman after two men were pronounced dead at the scene after gunshots heard on Railton Road in Brixton, south London
Two men have died in an apparent drive-by shooting this evening as police tonight launch a manhunt for the killer.
Cops were called just before 8pm after reports of gunshots were heard in Brixton, south London.
Officers, including firearms specialists, are still in attendance along with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, both men were pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
