Two charged with manslaughter over death of baby who suffered cardiac arrest

TWO people have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a one-year-old girl.

Little Elaina Rose Aziz died after an incident at a house in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, in 2020.

The youngster is understood to have suffered a cardiac arrest and was found “seriously unwell” on the evening of August 6.

She was rushed to hospital where she sadly died.

Police launched an investigation and today confirmed they had charged a 37-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman with manslaughter by gross negligence, causing or allowing the death of a child, and wilfully assaulting, ill-treating or neglecting a child or young person, CoventryLive reports.
