Tsitsipas trying to upstage girlfriend Badosa weeks after ‘sex dream’ comment

Stefanos Tsitsipas said he wanted to outdo girlfriend Paula Badosa’s career-high ranking (Image: @tsitsidosa) Stefanos Tsitsipas has admitted that his goal is to outdo his girlfriend Paula Badosa after winning his 10th career title. The Greek star and the former world No 2 have been dating for a couple of months. And they made waves at Wimbledon when Badosa hinted that she had a sex dream about the 24-year-old before they were together. Tsitsipas won his long-awaited first title of the 2023 season on Sunday as he downed Alex de Minaur to lift the Los Cabos trophy. It also marks his first title since he started dating fellow tennis pro Badosa earlier this year, and it seems that the world No 4 is benefitting from some healthy competition with his girlfriend. Los Cabos marked a new milestone for the 24-year-old, his 10th title. And he shared a new goal after his triumph, admitting that he wanted to upstage Badosa in the rankings, with the Spaniard previously sitting at a career-high of No 2. ‘My goals are to surpass Paula’s best ranking, which is world No 2,’ Tsitsipas said after his 6-3 6-4 victory over De Minaur. ‘And to get better than I am.’ Stefanos Tsitsipas won his 10th career title in Los Cabos (Image: Getty) While some could think that the world No 4 is opening a can of worms by competing with his girlfriend, Tsitsipas himself said that they had a healthy rivalry. He added: ‘The good thing about us is that we get competitive in those things in a healthy way so I hope I get to equal it or even better.’ It’s not the first time fans have been given a glimpse into the dynamic of Tsitsipas and Badosa’s whirlwind relationship. The pair first went public on Spotify, changing their profile photos to a selfie of them together and creating a joint playlist before setting up an Instagram account named @tsitsidosa. And three-time title winner Badosa was very open at Wimbledon, where she hinted at having a sex dream about her boyfriend. Tsitsipas had previously told SDNA that there were ‘signs’ they would get together, saying: ‘She saw us both win the Australian Open, but I’d like Paula to tell you that story.’ Paula Badosa discussed her unusual dream about Stefanos Tsitsipas at Wimbledon (Image: Getty)
