Trump warns DeSantis against running in 2024

Donald Trump has warned Florida governor Ron DeSantis against running for president in 2024. This comes as tensions have begun to emerge in the Republican party over which candidate should run in the next presidential election.Although Mr Trump said he did vote for Mr DeSantis for another term as governor of the Sunshine State, he appeared to dismiss his potential rival at a rally in Pennsylvania last weekend.He referred to the governor as “Ron DeSanctimonious” and said in an interview with Fox News Digital: “I would tell you things about him that won’t be very flattering – I know more about him than anybody – other than, perhaps, his wife.”According to the BBC Mr Trump said about a possible DeSantis presidential candidacy: “I think he would be making a mistake.
