Tributes paid to ‘beautiful and brilliant’ boy, 13, killed in ‘hit-and-run’

TRIBUTES have been paid to a “beautiful and brilliant” 13-year-old killed in a “hit-and-run” while cycling home from a friend’s house.

Alfie Brown has been described as “having his whole life ahead of him” before the tragedy involving a truck in Swafield, near North Walsham in Norfolk.

Police were called shortly before 6.30pm on Thursday, with emergency services including paramedics and air ambulance also responding, but he died at the scene.

Cops say the driver of the Ford Ranger failed to stop but was located a short while later.

Alfie’s aunt Emma Brown has now set up a GoFundMe page to help “give him the send off he truly deserves” – already raising almost £11,000 from well-wishers.
