The Saudi Pro League’s transfer window closes on Thursday – with Al-Ittihad still wanting to sign Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah from Liverpool for a world-record fee
It’s transfer deadline day in the Saudi Pro League!
Liverpool are bracing themselves for a £215million bid from Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah. It’s hoped the 31-year-old forward will stay on Merseyside for the time being, but it’ll be difficult for Jurgen Klopp and his colleagues to reject a world-record transfer fee.
Liverpool’s local rivals Everton could also lose a forward, with Al-Ettifaq close to completing an £8m deal for Demarai Gray. Although the Saudi Pro League’s transfer window closes on Thursday, Turkish clubs will be able to sign players until September 15.
